Dr Bleiker qualified at Nottingham Medical School in 1992 with Honours and completed her Dermatology training in Leicester before accepting a consultant post in Harley Streets in 2001. She manages all skin diseases of adults and children (including hair, nails and genital areas) and performs skin surgery, although she does not undertake more complex surgical procedures involving flaps or graft repairs and does not remove lipomas.
Her sub-specialist interests are Contact Dermatitis and Paediatric Dermatology. She investigates suspected skin allergies with patch tests. It is vital for patients suffering with skin disease to have the right diagnosis at the start so that appropriate treatment can be given to avoid weeks and months of suffering due to the wrong diagnosis and inappropriate treatment.
