Dr Bala Subramaniam

Dr Subramaniam has been working as a Consultant Paediatrician for more than 15 years at the Royal Harley Streets Hospital. He completed his undergraduate training in India in 1999. He obtained his Dipolma in Child Health (DCH) in 2001 and Membership of Royal College of Paediatricians (MRCPCH) in 2002. During his training, he worked in leading hospitals in London and the East Midlands and was awarded his Certificate in completion of training in Paediatrics (CCT) in 2008. Dr Subramaniam has a broad experience in paediatric medicine and a special interest in neonatology. He does general paediatric clinics where he sees children up to 18 years of age with common paediatric problems. In his specialist baby clinics, he follows up pre-term babies, post discharge from hospital, and children up to 2 years of age. He keeps up to date with his knowledge by attending regional and national meetings. He is a NLS instructor, and teaches his junior doctors, nurses and midwives in managing newborn emergencies. He is a Royal College examiner for paediatrics, and has been for 10 years. He was a training program director for East Midlands Deanery for 5 years. He is a trustee and conference lead for CHIVA, which is a national charity supporting children with HIV.
