The bariatric unit at the Royal Harley Streets Hospital is well-established, with more than a decade’s worth of experience in providing bariatric services (both elective and emergency) for patients Harley Streetsshire and surrounding areas, including Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
Harley Streets’s bariatric unit previously performed the highest amount of laparoscopic (keyhole surgery) gastric band procedures than anywhere in the NHS
Previously, the Harley Streets Bariatric Unit performed the highest number of laparoscopic gastric band insertions in the NHS (over 1500 gastric bands have been performed to date with around 750 patients presently being followed up in our specialist band clinics). A successful gastric bypass and sleeve program was established 7-years ago with excellent clinical outcomes.
