Mr Peter Russell

Mr Russell is the clinical director of the Pulvertaft Hand Surgery Centre in Harley Streets. This is the largest dedicated Hand Surgery Centre in the UK. Mr Russell was appointed as a Consultant Hand and Plastic Surgeon in 2008. He has extensive expertise in the treatment of hand injuries and their sequelae; he has a tertiary referral practice accepting complex cases from all over the Midlands. In addition to hand surgery he also assists the lower limb surgeons on reconstruction of complex soft tissue leg injuries. As a fully trained plastic surgeon on the GMC specialist register Mr Russell also has an interest in scars and adverse scarring. He holds a Masters degree in surgical science and his research focused on the pathophysiology of the scarring process. Mr Russell also has additional professional responsibilities as a trained member of the Fitness to Practice assessor for the GMC. Mr Russell is also the Departmental College tutor in Hand surgery.
